Human Factors and Ergonomics in Design (HFED) is an interdisciplinary lab that conducts research and design experiments on optimizing human interaction. Our work involves understanding various physical and cognitive aspects of human interactions that range from experimental design, research projects, field investigations, workshops and academic publications.
Our research focuses primarily on well being to improve safety and comfort for social engagements of various user groups. In HFED, we focus on analyzing, modeling and enhancing the interface designs catering human based interactions. We use eye tracking, electrodermal signals and electroencephalography (EEG) techniques for behavioral and posture assessment.
